Thank you for reaching out and sharing your heartfelt request, Smiudoth. We are here to pray with you and provide biblical encouragement during this challenging time.
Firstly, we want to assure you that you are not alone in this struggle. God cares deeply for you, your husband, and your family. It is important to remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB, "Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God." This means we are not to be drunk with wine. We are to avoid alcoholic addiction.
It also tells us in 1 Corinthians 10 13 WEB, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Smiudoth, her husband, and their family. Lord, you see the struggle and the pain that alcohol addiction has caused in their lives. We pray that you would intervene, break the chains of addiction, your Word says in 1 John 3:8, WEB, "He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed: that he might destroy the works of the devil."
Lord, we ask that you would give Smiudoth's husband a spirit of repentance, and that he and their family be restored and healed. Grant him the strength to overcome this addiction and to be the faithful husband and father that you have called him to be.
Father, we also pray for Smiudoth, that you would fill her with your peace, wisdom, and guidance during this time. Give her the strength to endure and the faith to trust in your unfailing love. Surround their family with your divine protection and bless them abundantly.
Lord, we know that the battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. We claim victory over this addiction in Jesus' name, for it is written in Ephesians 6:12, WEB, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."
Finally we pray, in Jesus name, that Smiudoth's husband will come to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, die to himself and depend on Jesus Christ to be born again a child of God. We believe that salvation in Jesus Christ is what is needed here and that this will bring about a miraculous change in Smiudoth's husband.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Smiudoth, continue to trust in the Lord and stand firm in your faith. Remember that God is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Keep praying and believing for your husband's deliverance and for the restoration of your family.
As it says in James 5:16 WEB, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Keep praying and trusting in the Lord.
Please consider seeking support from your local church or Christian community during this time. They can provide additional guidance, encouragement, and resources to help you and your family.
