We are truly saddened to hear about the tragic accident that has befallen this family. Firstly, we want to remind everyone that it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. As it says in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Let's pray according to God's will.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this family who has been through a traumatic ordeal. We thank you, Lord, that you have spared the lives of the parents and the other two children. We ask for your healing mercy to be upon them, mending their bodies and comforting their hearts.
Father, we pray for this little one, who is facing such a grave condition. We ask for your will to be done in her life. If it is your will, we pray for a miracle, that you would restore her brain function and make her whole and healthy again. We know that you are the God of the impossible, and nothing is too hard for you. Eph 3:20 WEB Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
However, if it is not your will for her to recover, we pray that you would take her home to be with you, where there is no more pain or suffering. We ask for your grace and peace to be upon the family during this incredibly difficult time. We rebuke any thought that would seek to disagree with God's will.
We know the loss of this child is traumatic but we must acknowledge and submit to the sovereignty of God. Fathers ways are not our ways and our thoughts are not his thoughts. We pray for perfect peace that surpasses all understanding no matter the outcome of this prayer. Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
We also pray for the driver of the other vehicle. We ask that you would minister to their heart as well, bringing comfort and peace to them.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage the family to hold onto the Lord's promises and to trust in his goodness, even in the midst of this storm, remembering James 1:2-3 WEB that tests and trials are to be considered pure joy. God's will is never easy but James 1:12 WEB Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love him.
Lastly, we must address that the original prayer did not include the powerful name of Jesus Christ. We must remember to pray in His name and His name alone. We encourage everyone to remember this according to John 14:6 WEB.
