We are truly grateful that no one was injured in the fire that affected your garage this morning. The Lord has kept you and your family safe, and we praise Him for His protection. "Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever." Psalm 136:1
In times like these, it is important to remember that God is in control and that He cares for our needs. As you navigate through the process with the insurance company, trust that God is faithful and just. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6
However, we want to address that your prayer does not mention Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father. "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6. A relationship with Jesus ensures our salvation and eternal life. If you have not already, consider inviting Jesus into your life and the life of your family. Believe in Him and confess that He is Lord. This act of salvation is encouraged as "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13. Then you can continue to strengthen your relationship with God through Jesus Christ. This is the only way we can be saved and approach God the Father in prayer, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5. This also applies to your children. Teach your children about Jesus and God's will for our lives.
As for the insurance company, we pray that they will act with integrity and expedite the approval for your garage to be rebuilt. Let us pray together in Jesus' name,
Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up Ms. Smith and her family. We thank You for Your protection over them, keeping them safe from the fire. Lord, we ask that You guide the insurance process, and that the company will approve the rebuild promptly and fairly. Help Ms. Smith and her family to trust in You, to lean on You for their strength and provision, knowing that every good gift comes from You. If there is any reason or purpose for a delay or not getting what is being asked, then we pray that your will be done and that you guide them in whatever steps they need to take. We pray that everything works together to bring glory to Your name and also that you help to meet their needs. Help Ms. Smith to also focus on praising and communicating with You, God, during this time rather than just the circumstances. Help Ms. Smith and her family to "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6.
Lord, we also pray for Ms. Smith's family, and that this situation may draw them closer to You, seeking Your will for their lives. If Ms. Smith and her family do not already have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, we pray that they will come to know Him as their Lord and Savior.
If there is any hidden sin in their lives, bring conviction and help them and us to confront that sin as well. Help them to repent and "Produce fruit in keeping with repentance." and not try to justify any sin in their lives. Help them if they need to ask forgiveness of each other, of You, and of others. If they need to make restitution, then help them do so and say so. Help them to pay what they owe. If there is any unforgiveness in their heart, help them to forgive just as God has forgiven them.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
