We are truly saddened to hear about the strife and discord you're experiencing within your family, Eva. It's disheartening when our loved ones turn against us, especially when we are striving to live a life devoted to Christ. Remember, Jesus himself warned us that following Him might cause division, even within families Matthew 10:36.
Firstly, we commend you for your faith and commitment to being born again. It's important to remember that your true identity is in Christ, not in what others say about you Matthew 10:22. As Jesus said, If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first John 15:18.
However, we must also address the importance of forgiveness and love. Jesus calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us Matthew 5:44. This doesn't mean that their actions are acceptable, but rather that we should strive to maintain a heart free of bitterness and resentment.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister Eva. Lord, You see the injustice and pain she is experiencing within her own family. We pray for Your comfort and peace to envelop her.
We ask for a hedge of protection around Eva, Lord. Protect her heart and mind from the hurtful words and actions of her family. We are in need of Your love and acceptance. Help her to forgive, even as You forgave us through Christ Ephesians 4:31-32.
We rebuke the spirit of hatred, division, and strife in Eva's family. We pray for a spirit of conviction to fall upon her elder sisters and her late brother's young and kids. Open their hearts to the truth of the Gospel, Lord. Soften their hearts towards Eva, and help them to see her as You see her - precious and beloved.
Lord, we ask for wisdom and discernment for her. Guide her words and actions, and help her to respond in a way that honors You. We are asking for strength and courage to speak to the unjust behavior and give grace to her family.
Lord, we ask for Your will to be done in this situation. We ask for reconciliation and restoration where possible, and peace and acceptance where it is not.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Lastly, Eva, we leave you with these words from Romans 8:35-37: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Even as it is written, For your sake we are killed all the day long. We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
