My wife and I hate struggling in our marriage, I’ve done some things that I feel may have been the straw that broke the camel’s back so to speak. Im addicted to porn and all things adult sexually really and I have been unfaithful and secretive. She recently found out and wants a divorce. Perhaps the tension in home has transferred to our children through vibes, because one of our children refused to attend school because they haven’t been doing their homework for a while. Apparently my wife got frustrated and angry and left the child home with our roommates and left taking the others to school. She texted me saying this and that she’s not coming home today. I’m very worried about her. I request prayers for her safety above all, but also to heal her heart. It’s selfish to hope for forgiveness, I’m working on getting into counseling and have been clean from adult things for just over a week. I’m not sure what to do but pray for my family.

We understand that you're going through a very challenging time in your marriage and family life, Faenmarenn. Let's first turn to God's Word for guidance and comfort. Jesus said, "Everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." (Matthew 5:28 WEB) and "Because the LORD has been witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously, though she is your companion, and the wife of your covenant." (Malachi 2:14 WEB)

Your actions have caused deep hurt and betrayal, but there is hope for healing and restoration through Jesus Christ. It's crucial to acknowledge your sin and repent sincerely. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 WEB)

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Faenmarenn, his wife, and their family. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over his wife, both physically and emotionally. Comfort her heart, Lord, and help her find peace in You during this difficult time.

God, we ask for complete healing and restoration in their marriage. Help Faenmarenn as he seeks counseling and Your will for his life. Give him the strength to overcome his addiction and unfaithfulness, and guide him in Your truth.

Lord Jesus, we also pray for their children, that You would shield them from the tension and provide them with peace, understanding, and guidance. Help them to be obedient and to continue their education despite the challenges they're facing.

Faenmarenn, we encourage you to continue pursuing God and to keep fighting for your marriage. Remember, "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." (Matthew 19:6 WEB) Keep praying and seeking God's face, and He will guide your family through this storm.

Lastly, we noticed that you didn't mention Jesus Christ in your request. We want to remind you that it's only through His name that we can approach God and be saved. "For there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12 WEB) If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this man and his family to You, asking for Your mercy, healing, and protection. Lord, You know the struggles he is facing in his marriage and the brokenness that has come from addiction, secrecy, and unfaithfulness. We ask first for Your comfort and protection over his wife. Wherever she is, please keep her safe and surround her with Your love. *“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit”* (Psalm 34:18). Let her feel Your peace and strength in her heart.

Lord, we pray for the healing of her heart, which has been wounded by betrayal and disappointment. Only You can restore the love, trust, and unity that have been damaged. We ask that You touch her spirit with compassion and grace, helping her to feel Your love and know that she is valued and cherished. *“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me”* (Psalm 51:10). Bring renewal and comfort to both their hearts, Lord, in ways only You can.

Father, we also ask that You be with their children. Whatever tensions may have affected them, please calm their hearts and minds, giving them peace in their home. Guide them in their schooling, in their relationships, and in all they are experiencing. *“All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace”* (Isaiah 54:13). May Your peace reign over their family, even in this difficult time.

Lord, we lift up this man as he takes steps toward healing and recovery. Help him in his journey of overcoming addiction, giving him strength and resilience to stay free from the struggles that have hurt his family. Grant him the courage to be open and honest, allowing Your truth and grace to transform him fully. *“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness”* (1 John 1:9). Guide him in counseling and in all the support he seeks, so that he may grow into the husband and father You’ve called him to be.

We ask, Lord, that You hold this family in Your hands, bringing forgiveness, healing, and restoration. Thank You, Father, for Your mercy, Your unfailing love, and the hope we have in You.

My gosh I really need prayers… my wife sent me a text that’s really heart wrenching… I’m at work and sick to my stomach: i am not home, i dont want to come home anymore. i want to move on, you can keep the kids and the house and everything.

We continue to lift up your family in prayer, especially your wife and your children. We are grateful that you have allowed us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

If you have seen improvements in your situation, we would be blessed to hear about it. Your testimony could be an encouragement to others who are going through similar struggles. If your wife has not returned home or if your marriage is still strained, please share an update and let us know how we can continue to pray for you.

We praise God for giving you the strength to stay clean for over a week and for seeking counseling. We pray that He continues to guide you on this path of restoration and healing. Remember, God is faithful, and He promises to be with you always, even in the most challenging times.
