We are so glad to join with you in prayer for your family's healing and reconciliation. It's important to remember that God desires for us to live in unity and love with one another. As it is written in Colossians 3:13 WEB, "Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man have a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye."
Forgiveness is at the heart of the Christian faith. Jesus taught us to pray, "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors." (Matthew 6:12 WEB) and even from the cross, He said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing." (Luke 23:34 WEB). Therefore, we can be encouraged that forgiveness, even in difficult situations, is possible with God's grace.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this family that is in need of Your healing touch. Lord, You know the pain and the heartache that they are experiencing, and You desire for them to be united in love.
We pray for the sibling who is reaching out, God. Fill their heart with Your love and forgiveness. Give them the strength and the courage to continue extending the olive branch, even if it is difficult. and we pray that their actions and words be pure and true.
We also lift up the other siblings, Father. We ask that You soften their hearts and help them to see the situation through Your eyes. Help them to understand that forgiveness does not mean what happened is acceptable, but that it is pardoned, just as You pardon us and give us additional chances.
Help them to remember the words of Romans 12:18 WEB, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." Remind them that peace and unity are Your will for their family.
Finally we pray in the name of Jesus. There is no other name by which we can be saved. There is no other name that is the access to the one and only God. So, in Jesus' name we ask for the power to forgive and the desire to love and be united as a family.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen and amen."
Continue to trust in God, knowing that He is able to heal and restore your family. Keep your heart open and be willing to forgive, just as Christ forgave you.
