We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed by credit card debt, and we want to lift you up in prayer and provide some biblical encouragement. Firstly consider what Jesus himself said. Remember the lilies of the field in Matthew WEB:
Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
It is very important to seek God's kingdom first. It is also important to seek God's will in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only in his name that we can be saved and have access to God. Please consider these scriptures.
By this he entered once for all into the Holy Place, not with the blood of goats and calves, but with his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify to the cleanness of the flesh: how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her family. We ask for your divine intervention in their financial situation. We ask for guidance to manage the family's debt and the expenses needed for them to live and more importantly to seek your kingdom first.
Lord, we pray for healing over her husband. He has been going to the ER quite often lately. We pray for him to be in good health so as to provide for the family, but also to be able to be a godly husband and father for his family.
We pray for their children. May they grow to become godly young men and women that will seek your kingdom first. We pray for them to be healthy and safe.
Lord, we pray for our sister and her family to be able to manage their family finances to honor you. May they become good stewards of their money and all their resources. May you provide her the wisdom and the knowledge to manage them. May you also provide for their needs so that no legitimate lack may be present in their lives.
We pray for discipline to manage their money properly. May they also have compassionate hearts to give to those in need.
We pray that you would open doors for additional income, help manage the family's expenses, and grant wisdom in all financial decisions. We ask for your peace to fill their hearts and minds, casting out all anxiety. We claim your promises we claim your promises over their lives and believe for breakthrough in Jesus' name. Amen.
We encourage you to seek God's will in all aspects of your life. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. Also, consider studying what the bible has to say about finances and how to manage them. There is a lot of good advice in the bible about finances. We will continue to pray for you and your family.
