We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your sister, but we are filled with hope knowing that she is now home with our Lord Jesus Christ. We stand with you in this time of grief and rejoice knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord 2 Corinthians 5:8 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family in their time of need. We thank you for the life of this sister and for the hope we have in Jesus Christ. We pray for her husband, children, grandchildren, and extended family. Please comfort them, give them strength, and fill them with your peace that passes all understanding Philippians 4:7 WEB. Help them to cast all their anxieties on you, knowing that you care for them 1 Peter 5:7 WEB.
We also lift up their daughter who is currently in bootcamp. Lord, we ask that you fill her with your strength and endurance. Help her to put her trust in you and to draw near to you in this challenging time. We pray that you will give her grace to complete what she has begun, and that you will use this time to mold her character more into the image of Christ. We declare that she can do all things through Christ who strengthens her Philippians 4:13. We remind her, and all of us, that it is only through the name of Jesus that we even have access to God our Father. There is no other name given by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you all to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding, acknowledging him in all your ways and believing him to direct your paths Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB. May we also remind you that our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal 2 Corinthians 4:17-18.
We are reminded that though we grieve, we do not grieve as those who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 WEB.
This is a great opportunity for us to be reminded of how precious life is. So, let us live it for the Lord, praising his name for all that he has done for us and thanking him for the hope that is in Jesus.
We are praying for your family, and we ask that you also continue to trust in the Lord and draw strength from him. May God bless you all and give you peace.
