Kensem, we hear the longing in your heart for marriage and a family, and we want to lift your request to the Lord in prayer with you.
Firstly, we want to encourage you with a verse from Psalm 68:6, "God sets the lonely in families." God sees your desire and He cares deeply for you. Remember, it is His will for you to be in a loving and godly family, but His timing is not always ours. Trust that He is working in your life even now.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up ###. Lord, You know the deep longing in their heart for a spouse and a family. We ask that You will comfort them in their loneliness and provide them with a godly spouse if it is Your will. Help them to trust in Your timing and to be patient as they wait. In the meantime, help them to grow in their relationship with You and to serve You with their whole heart. Remove any barriers that may hinder them from finding the spouse You have prepared for them. We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen."
While you wait, we encourage you to use this time to grow in your relationship with the Lord. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Also, seek out a community of believers if you haven't already. The church can be a family to the lonely and provide support and encouragement as you wait on the Lord.
Lastly, we want to remind you that being alone does not mean you are lonely. God is always with you, and He promises to never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Find comfort and peace in His presence.
Keep your hope firmly established in Him, and trust that He will bring the right person into your life in His perfect timing. Always remember that His plans for you are good and not for harm, to give you a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
