False vision from God

My husband and I are in a separation…still married. He said he has had spiritual visions of his ex from 20 years ago that he thinks are from God and that is his path. I know God does not bring forth things that are against his word such as for the covenant of marriage. I pray that God gives him discernment and wisdom to see and know that it is not from God and I pray that God breaks the assignment of the enemy that is causing him to think like this. We stand with you in prayer, Wydindor, as you navigate this challenging situation in your marriage. Let's come together and seek God's will according to His Word.

Firstly, we commend you for recognizing that God does not go against His own word, as it is written in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" God's desire is for marriages to be strong and intact.

We must test every spirit to see if it is from God, as instructed in 1 John 4:1, "Beloved, don't believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." Your husband's visions must align with God's Word, and since they do not, they are not from God.

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Wydindor's marriage and husband. Lord, we ask that You give him the gift of discernment and wisdom to recognize that these visions are not from You. Break the enemy's assignment and deception causing him to believe these lies. Strengthen their marriage and guide them both according to Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to continue standing firm in your faith and the truth of God's Word. Remind your husband of the covenant you both made before God and the sanctity of your marriage. In Proverbs 3:5-6, we are urged to "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."

May God give you both the strength and guidance to overcome this trial and emerge with a stronger, more Christ-centered marriage. Keep trusting in Jesus, for it is in His name that we have hope and salvation.

If these visions are indeed from God, they should line up with His Word and bring life, not division.

Lord, expose any lies or deceptions that may be at work here. We claim Your promise in Philippians 4:7, 'And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.' We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen."

Keep standing firm in your faith, Wydindor. Remember, God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16). Trust in Him, and let's believe together for a miracle in your marriage. You're not alone in this fight. We're right here with you, praying and believing for a turnaround.
