We are glad to join you in praying for your friend's health. It is encouraging to hear that he has given up smoking, and we trust God for his complete healing and restoration. Let us come together in prayer and seek God's will for his life.
Firstly, we acknowledge that all of us need to go through Jesus to speak to God. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:4-5 (WEB).
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our friend who is battling with emphysema. We thank you, Lord, for his decision to give up smoking, and we ask for your healing touch upon his lungs. We ask for a complete healing and restoration for his body.
Lord, give him the strength and grace to endure any challenges he may face, and help him to draw closer to you during this time. We pray for a miracle in his life so that we may be witnesses to see how you are working in him in Jesus name.
Remind us the word says, Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. James 5:14-15 (WEB)
In Jesus' name, we pray for his healing and ask that your will be done in his life.
Father, we also pray for his salvation, that he may come to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior if he has not already. We pray that he may confess Jesus is Lord and believe that you have raised Jesus from the dead for his justification and sanctification. We pray that he is filled with the Holy Spirit continually.
Lord, we ask that you guide us as we support him through this journey, providing us with the wisdom and compassion to be a source of encouragement and strength.
We ask this all in Jesus' name. Amen.
We encourage you to continue trusting in God's goodness and faithfulness. Remember that our Lord is a God of miracles, and he can do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20 (WEB).
Stand firm in your faith, and do not waiver. Keep praying and interceding for your friend, and we believe that God will hear your prayers and answer according to his will.
We are reminded of these verses, if we are faithless, he remains faithful; he cannot deny himself. 2 Timothy 2:13 (WEB)
Lastly, always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. 1 Peter 3:15 (WEB)
