We join you in lifting up this marriage to our Father God, who is faithful and true. We pray for this husband to be steadfast in his commitment to his family, breaking any negative cycles from the past. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 7:22 WEB, "For in the Lord, the woman is not independent of the man, nor the man independent of the woman." Their union should be a reflection of Christ's love for the church, steadfast and unyielding.
We pray that their marriage will be strong and peaceful, built on the foundation of God's word. As stated in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 WEB, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn't have another to lift him up." We pray that they bring out the best in each other, encouraging and supporting one another in righteousness.
We pray for them to be godly parents, raising their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. As instructed in Ephesians 6:4 WEB, "Fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."
We ask for God's favor and blessings upon their union and household. As promised in Psalm 37:25-26 WEB, "I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread. All day long he deals graciously, and lends; his seed is blessed."
We are glad that this prayer is in the name of Jesus. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Together, let us pray:
Father God, we ask for your grace and mercy upon this marriage. Make them one as you and Jesus are one, breaking any cycles of the past. Help them to be steadfast, loving, and supportive, bringing out the best in each other. Bless their union, their household, and their children. Give them wisdom and guidance as parents, and pour out your favor upon them. Keep them rooted and grounded in the love of Christ, abiding in him and he in them, to the glory of your name. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to pray together, seeking God's will for your family. Remember the words of Matthew 18:20 WEB, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." Keep God at the center of your marriage and family.
