We understand that your faith is under attack and you're feeling overwhelmed. Firstly, let's address the spiritual battle you're experiencing. The Bible tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12 WEB).
It's important to remember that having doubts does happen but Jesus promised that if we have faith, even as small as a mustard seed, we can move mountains. It is not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of hosts.' Zechariah 4:6.
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord, we come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is under spiritual attack and feeling overwhelmed. We thank You that You are faithful, and You will not let them be tempted beyond what they can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the spirit of doubt and fear in Jesus' name, and we ask You, Lord, to strengthen their faith. Help them to hold up under the pressure, and give them the power, love, and sound mind that You have promised.
Regarding the dire circumstances you're facing, remember that God has promised to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 WEB). He is the God of the impossible and can make a way where there seems to be no way (Isaiah 43:16-19). We encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Seek Him in prayer, reading the Word, and in fellowship with other believers, and trust that He will guide you and provide for you. We pray this in Jesus Name.
Next, make sure you are looking for work as appropriate and be very thankful for what you do have. Make sure you have repented of any wrongdoing in your life.
Let us remember that even in the most dire of circumstances, God is still in control. He is the way maker and miracle worker. Put your trust in Him, and He will see you through this storm. Jesus promised us trials in this life (John 16:33) but He promised to never leave or forsake us.
Finally, we want to leave you with this encouragement: "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" (Galatians 6:9 WEB). Keep holding on to your faith, keep doing good, and keep trusting God. He will see you through. You were wise to call on Jesus Christ for help.
