Faith vs Fear!

They promise freedom, but they themselves are slaves of sin and corruption. For you are a slave to whatever controls you.
2 Peter 2:19

Brothers and sisters let us look at what controls us.

“No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other.
Matthew 6:24

The ground between both masters could not be any further apart. The two are diametric. You cannot serve both. It is your choice. No one can make it for you.

Today I want to concentrate on faith and fear. Faith is define in Hebrews as the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Now fear is the opposite of faith. Fear is the substance of things we dread. Both are at odds with each other. In fact John writes that there is no fear in love and you need faith to love.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Hebrews 11:6

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Joshua 1:9

Global storms are brewing but standfast in faith. Don't be afraid to speak out or take a stand, for God is with us wherever we go or whatever confronts us.
Let our faith envelop our Almighty Father.

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Deuteronomy 31:6

Let us not loose sight of the Lord when troubles and tribulations come to our life. He is the light of our path that leads to heaven. Satan will bring all kinds of fear and trembling to our life, do not let him enter into your house or your heart. Cast him out in the name of Jesus. Deep faith in the Lord is to love, serve and adore Him day and night. He delights in the praises of His people.

Faith is simply a trust in something that you cannot see while fear is an emotion caused by doubt or anxiety. It is not possible to live in faith and fear at believe in same time. Faith and fear both believe in a future that hasn't happen yet. Fear believes in a negative future while faith believes in a positive future. We can choose faith over fear by believing in the incredible power of God to calm our storms.Our faith in Jesus can calm our storms because we trust that He is more powerful than the storms around us and cares deeply about us.
Contrary to faith fear is a tool of the enemy which is employed to stifle our confidence in Christ and to distract us away from God. To step out in faith means to take a risk for God knowing that He is going to catch you. If anything should happen.Peter was able to walk on the water because He had faith that Jesus would protect him from harm.Without faith it is impossible to please God.

And faith comes from hearing the word of God, so Lord, let us hear the word of God with our inner spiritual eyes and ears in Jesus name!
Oh, Lord, deliver us from every fear so that we would not be slaves of the world, our emotions, negative thinking in Jesus name.
Lord, it is so good to be free in Christ Jesus.
LOrd, remove every burden, destroy every yoke in Jesus name.
Deliver us from every generational curse, sickness, wrong mindset/stronghold in Jesus name, anywhere where we are still enslaved, amen.
Lord, help us, to live life of freedom and to preach boldly your kingdom until Jesus comes.
Let our lives be your living epistles. amen.
