We are glad to join you in prayer and to encourage you in your faith. It's wonderful that you are putting your trust in Jesus, and we want to remind you that faith is not about problems resolving themselves on their own, but about trusting in God's active presence and work in your life. Let's look at what the Scriptures say about faith and trusting in God.
Firstly, it's important to acknowledge God's promise to be with us always. As it says in Hebrews 13:5, "For he has said, 'I will never leave you, nor forsake you.'” This means we can trust that God is always involved in our lives and working for our good, even when we can't see it.
Faith is not about passively waiting for problems to resolve themselves, but about actively trusting in God's goodness and sovereignty. In James 2:17, it says, "Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself." This means that true faith is accompanied by action and a deep trust in God's plan.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ. We thank You for Your promise to never leave us nor forsake us. We ask that You would deepen our faith and help us to trust in Your active work in our lives. Help us not to worry or be anxious, but to rest in Your goodness and sovereignty. Help us not to avoid or ignore problems but to live a life of action, faith, and surrender.
Lord Jesus, You taught us that we have not because we ask not (James 4:2). Help us to be specific in our prayers, asking for Your will to be done and aligning our thoughts with Your word. Help us to ask for miracles that are needed and to believe You will provide them. Help us to have a faith that lives in action and sees the promises of God as if they were already completed. Help us to know that in Jesus' name we have access to the Father. Thank You, Jesus, for giving us the grace to believe in You and the love to know that you are our Savior.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, it's wonderful to have faith in God's work in your life, but also remember that true faith is active and trusting, not passive or avoidant. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
