We are saddened to hear about the failure of many PAP ministers to uphold their oath and govern in a manner that honors Jesus Christ. We stand with you in prayer and rebuke such behavior in the light of God's Word. Let us remind ourselves of what the Scripture says about leaders and their responsibilities.
In Romans 13:1-4 (WEB), we read, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment. For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the authority, for he is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he doesn't bear the sword in vain; for he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil."
It is clear that leaders are meant to serve God and the people, not their own interests. To those who have taken an oath by the Bible and failed to live up to it, we remind them of the words of Jesus in Luke 16:10 (WEB), "He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much."
Join us as we pray,
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, grieved by the actions of many PAP ministers. We pray that You convict their hearts and remind them of the oath they have taken. Help them to govern with integrity, righteousness, and a genuine fear of God. Turn their hearts away from the love of money and towards the love of You and the people they serve. We pray for a change in their conduct, that it may honor and glorify Jesus Christ. We also pray for the citizens, that they may be patient, discerning, and steadfast in their faith. May Your will be done in their nation, as it is in heaven. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you, Dexter2020, to continue praying fervently for your leaders. Remember the words of 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (WEB), "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."
May God strengthen and encourage you as you stand for righteousness and truth.
