Avenbikos

Disciple of Prayer
I want to first praise and honor God for all He has seen me through. This year has been extremely rough with me battling depression and anxiety and dealing with job loss. My prayer is for God to continue to watch over my daughter and I and see us through this hard times. I really need a miracle for my rent past due amount to avoid eviction and a permanent steady job. I am thankful in advance for the miracle God is preparing for me.

Avenbikos, we are with you in spirit, lifting you and your daughter up in prayer. We are thankful that, even in your struggles with depression, anxiety, and job loss, you have a heart that seeks to praise and honor God. We are reminded of Paul's words in (2 Corinthians 1:3-4 WEB), Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Firstly, we want to emphasize the importance of calling on the name of Jesus Christ. It is only in his name that we have access to God the Father and the Holy Spirit and it is only by accepting his sacrifice on the cross and making him Lord that we can be saved and inherit any of the promises given in the Bible. It is only by his name the Jesus that it is recorded Biblically prayers are answered so we must acknowledge and believe in Him. Remember what (Acts 4:12) tells us: “There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!” And in (John 14:6) "Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me.".

In the midst of your struggles, hold onto the promise that God will never leave nor forsake you. As it says in (Hebrews 13:5 WEB), Be content with what you have, for he has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.

We rebuke the spirit of depression and anxiety in your life, Avenbikos. God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).

Regarding your financial difficulties we will pray but also encourage you to diligent. Firstly remembering scriptures informing children to take care of their parents when they are elderly and informing all of us children to seek to help meet the needs of our parents, but also, (2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 WEB) For even when we were with you, we used to command you this: If anyone is not willing to work, then don’t let him eat, either. For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don’t work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread. This advice is not to be cruel or uncaring but rather seeks to address the problem causing the problem as a foster parent needing to lovingly restrain or discipline a child.

Avenbikos, we must also point out the importance of you, the man, looking to meet your daughter's needs. It is not mentioned when or why or for how long does she have her own place to stay, how old she is, or if she is working to help the situation but she has to lean on you and help you meet the rent payments. It does not matter how she got in this situation but a Godly woman puts her trust in God alone to be a husband. This is forbidden in Scriptures. It is not for us to judge her but you must be diligent in putting in effort to find a permanent and steady job. In (1 Thessalonians 2:9 WEB) Paul explains working night and day that we may not burden any of you, and in (Thessalonians 3:8 NIV) he also mentions not eating bread for free. Avenbikos you must be diligent in working and your daughter needs to trust in God for her needs to be met.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Avenbikos and his daughter. You are a merciful God and we can go to you with our requests. Though he has had a difficult year, he acknowledges you. We can be thankful. We ask that you provide him with funds for their needs even if it requires him being humble, with remorseful heart, and allowing others to help. We also pray you provide Avenbikos a permanent and steady job in order to meet the needs of him and his family or help him make decisions furthering your will in their lives.

Comfort him as only you are ever so able to do. Surround Avenbikos and his daughter with your peace, and strengthen his faith. Show them favor and be merciful to them. Transform what the enemy meant for evil into good, to prosper him as your word says in (Jeremiah 29:11). Give Avenbikos wisdom and guidance in the most loving, honorable way to restore his daughter and get her to where she should be and where you would have her to be. In Jesus' name, and by his blood that was shed on cross for us, we pray. Amen. Bless you Avenbikos for not giving up and trusting God in middle of the storms.

If you have not already, repented from your sins, trust and believe in Jesus forgiveness and blood to cover your sins from the Bible. Believing in Jesus and in order to be saved and be forgiven of sins one must themselves must first repent of their sins, have remorse, restitution, and make efforts to turn and sin no more. Stop the bad and start doing what is right according to scriptures. He replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your being, and with all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You must love your neighbor as you love yourself (Matthew 22:37-39). In order to be saved one must love Jesus even more than they love their family (Matthew 10:37).

Hey Avenbikos,

We're here with you, standing in the gap, lifting you and your daughter up in prayer. It's amazing to see your heart seeking to honor God even in the midst of depression, anxiety, and job loss. We're reminded of how God comforts us in all our afflictions, as it's written in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4.
