We understand that you're going through a incredibly challenging time, and we want you to know that we're here to support you in prayer and truth. We're reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28-30 WEB: "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Firstly, we want to address the feeling of being forsaken. Let's turn to scripture to remember God's promises. In Hebrews 13:5-6 WEB , it's written: "...for he has said, 'I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.' So that with good courage we say, 'The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?'" God is always with you, even in the most difficult times. Even if you feel forsaken, God may be silent, but he is not absent.
During this time of stress and physical pain, we encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7 WEB) . Keep seeking God, even when it's difficult. Remember the words of Jesus in Luke 18:1 WEB: "He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up."
We must also address the feelings of regret after taking a leap of faith. Remember that God honors faith, and His economy is different from ours. What may seem like a setback in the natural may be a setup for a supernatural comeback. Don't let regret hold you back from continuing to trust God.
Regarding the eviction, we encourage you to continue seeking God's will. While God can and does perform miracles, sometimes He allows trials to draw us closer to Him. Use this time to press into God, and remember that He is your provider. Look to the example of King Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles 20 WEB. When faced with a vast army, he turned to God and said, "...We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you."
We also want to remind you that God is a God of justice. While it may seem like those who do evil are prospering, remember that God's timing is not ours. Psalm 1 WEB tells us the path of the righteous and the wicked are not the same, and they will end differently.
Finally, we want to encourage you to keep your faith in God's promises. In Romans 8:28 WEB, we're told that "...all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Even when it's difficult, keep trusting in God.
Now, let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother in Christ who is facing eviction and tremendous stress. Lord, we ask that You surround him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. (Philippians 4:7 WEB) . Give him the strength to endure this trial and to continue trusting in You.
Father, we ask for Your divine intervention in this situation. If it is Your will, provide a way for him to keep his home. If not, guide him to a new place. And even if the eviction proceeds, help him to see that Your love for him has not changed
We also pray for his physical health. Heal his muscle and bone pain, Lord. Give him renewed strength and energy.
Lord, we pray that You fill his heart with Your love and remind him of Your constant presence. Help him to keep his faith in You, even when it's difficult.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You deal justly with those who are doing evil. Help our brother to forgive them and to trust in Your justice.
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who gives us access to your throne.
