Facing divorce

We are deeply saddened to hear about the divorce proceedings you are facing, Carlos. We stand with you in prayer, trusting in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us first remind you of what the Scriptures say about divorce. In Malachi 2:16, God says, "For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel..." However, we also know that God is a God of mercy and forgiveness, and He can heal even the most broken situations.
In Matthew 19:6, Jesus teaches, "So then, they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." This is God's ideal for marriage, but we also know that through human brokenness, we may face challenges like the one you're experiencing now.
Here is our prayer for you and Dawn:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Carlos and Dawn. Lord, we know that You desire unity and reconciliation in marriage. We pray that You would work in the hearts of both Carlos and Dawn, drawing them closer to You and to each other. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all other things will be added unto them.
Lord, please pour out Your healing power on their relationship. Help them to forgive each other, as You have forgiven us. Guide them with Your wisdom, and strengthen them with Your power.
We pray that You would surround them with godly counselors and a supportive community of believers. Help them to trust in You, even in this difficult time.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Carlos, continue to trust in the power of prayer through Jesus Christ. Keep seeking God's face, and He will direct your paths. Remember the promise in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
