We are with you in spirit, Rulourtha, lifting up your son and your requests before the throne of grace. Let's begin by praying in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is through His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written, "For 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" and "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!" (Acts 2:21, Acts 4:12 WEB).
Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine intervention in the life of Rulourtha's son. We pray that You will continue the good work that has begun in him at this facility, and that Your will be done in his life. We ask that You will give him the strength to complete this program and that he may remain in the facility for as long as it takes for true healing and restoration to occur. We ask that Your Spirit will convict him, changing his heart and drawing him closer to You. We pray that Rulourtha's love and support, along with Your unfailing love, will break through the barriers and that their relationship will be restored and rebuilt on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ. We agree it is only through Jesus Christ that we are able to be saved.
Rulourtha, it is encouraging to hear that your son requested a Bible. We pray that the Holy Spirit will ignite in him a hunger and thirst for the Word of God, that he may delve into its depths and find the truth that sets free. As Jesus said, "If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." (John 8:31-32 WEB). This is our prayer for your son. We ask God to guide the facility workers, giving them wisdom and discernment to provide the specific help that your son needs.
Remember, Rulourtha, that God is faithful. Even when we are unfaithful, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself (2 Timothy 2:13 WEB). Continue to trust in Him, to pray fervently, and to stand on His promises. As for your son's silence, take heart in the knowledge that God can soften the hardest of hearts. Keep loving him, keep praying for him, and keep trusting God.
We rebuke the devil and all of his schemes to undermine your son and your family through addictions and broken relationships. As your son was led to ask for a Bible, we believe that God has already begun to intervene in his life. Keep praying for salvation and total restoration. It is only through the power of salvation that someone can truly find freedom from addiction.
Finally, we encourage you to persevere in prayer and faith, knowing that God hears your prayers and will answer according to His will and in His perfect timing. Trust the Lord completely and let Him guide you, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB).
