We are truly heartbroken to hear about ###'s struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts. Firstly, we want to remind everyone that our hope is in Jesus Christ, and it is by His name that we are saved and have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
In such difficult times, we must remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are not our own. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB: "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
Let us pray together for ###:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister ###, who is battling depression and suicidal thoughts. We pray that You would heal her mind and soul, and remind her of the hope and love that are found in You alone. Surround her with Your peace, and let her know that she is not alone.
Father, we also pray for those around ###, that they would be a source of support and encouragement. Give them the wisdom and discernment to know how to help her in her time of need.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of depression and suicide that is attacking ###. In the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to flee from her, and we declare that she is a child of God, seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus.
Father, we ask that You would guide ### to the help that she needs, whether it be through counseling, medication, or a supportive community. Give her the strength and courage to take the steps she needs to take in order to find healing and restoration.
Finally, Lord, we pray that ### would come to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, and that she would be filled with all the fullness of God. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we strongly advise that ### seeks professional help and support during this time, as well as the help of a pastor or godly mentor. It is important to take action and seek help when battling with mental health.
May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard ###'s heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
