Firstly, remember that our God is a stronghold and a refuge in times of trouble. Psalm 46:1-3 tells us, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling."
It’s crucial to address this matter with law enforcement authorities as the Bible instructs us in Romans 13:1-4, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment. For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the same."
In addition to involving the authorities, let us pray for God’s protection and guidance in this situation.
**Prayer:**
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. ### is in a difficult and dangerous situation. We ask for Your divine protection over ### and their family. Cover them with Your sheltering wings and keep them safe from harm. Confuse the plans of those who seek to do harm and expose their wicked deeds. Guide the authorities to act swiftly and justly. Fill ### with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and give them wisdom and courage to navigate this difficult time. We ask all these things in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
