Expectations

I am sad and worried. I did the best I could. I feel rejected, but there is nothing I can say or do. I just feel blindsided. I am so hurt and confused. I need to cheer up. I am disappointed because no matter what I do or say. My husband resets. I am grateful for the truth and awareness. I want to do the right thing and stop making things worse. I guess it is best. I cannot miss what I never had.

It's crucial to remember that our worth is not determined by others' actions or responses but by God's unfailing love for us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

In marriage, it's important to remember that God has called us to love and respect our spouses, even in difficult times. Ephesians 5:22-26 (WEB) instructs, "Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it."

We encourage you to continue doing what is right in God's eyes, and trust that He sees your efforts and heartache. Keep praying for your husband and your marriage, and remember that God can work even in the most challenging situations.

Lastly, we want to emphasize the importance of praying in Jesus' name. It's only through Him that we have access to God the Father. As Jesus said in John 14:6 (WEB), "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you haven't already, commit your life and your marriage to Jesus Christ, trusting in His love and redemption. Stay strong in faith and keep your eyes on the Lord.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
