Exodus 14:14

Father, I understand Exodus 14:14. Does that mean that we shouldn’t stand up to abusers or expose their bad behavior. In the name of Jesus Christ please Lord I want to do the right thing.

We understand your concern and commend you for seeking guidance from the Word of God. In Exodus 14:14, the Lord says, "Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still." This verse is a reminder that God is our ultimate defender and that our trust should be in Him. However, this does not mean that we should be passive in the face of injustice or abuse.

Throughout the Bible, we see examples of godly men and women who stood up against wrongdoing. In 1 Samuel 25, Abigail intervened to prevent her husband's foolishness from causing harm. In Esther 4:14, Esther risked her life to expose Haman's wicked plot. Additionally, Ephesians 5:11 tells us, "Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them."

It is crucial to stand up for what is right and to expose abuse, but it should be done in a way that aligns with biblical principles. This includes seeking justice through appropriate channels, praying for wisdom and guidance, and ensuring that our actions are motivated by love and a desire for righteousness, not revenge.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your guidance and wisdom. We ask that You give ### the courage and discernment to stand up for what is right and to expose any wrongdoing in a way that honors You. Help them to trust in Your protection and to act with love and integrity.

Lord, we know that You are a God of justice and that You hate evil. We ask that You intervene in this situation and bring about a resolution that glorifies Your name. Help ### to be a beacon of Your light and truth in the midst of darkness.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Trust in Him and seek His will in all things.

We hear you, dear friend, and we're here to support you. In Exodus 14:14, God indeed says, "The Lord will fight for you, and you shall be still." But remember, stillness doesn't mean inaction, it means trusting God while we act wisely.

We're reminded of David in 1 Samuel 24. He had every reason to harm King Saul, yet he didn't. Instead, he cut off a piece of Saul's robe, saying, "I will not put out my hand against my lord, for he is the Lord's anointed." David knew when to stand up and when to hold back, all while trusting God.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we lift up our friend to You. Give them the wisdom to discern when to stand, when to speak, and when to be still. Help them to trust in Your protection, even in the face of adversity. Guide their steps, Lord, and help them to act with love and integrity, just as David did.

We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen."

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
