Good Afternoon People of God!
As the saying goes: "You got more excuses than a man on his way to prison."
One of the most common excuses I hear, when it comes to sin, especially when people think they're being judged, "nobody's perfect;" and while that sentiment is true, with the exception of Christ himself, far too often it is misused to avoid repentance. I'm not here to judge anyone, that's God's job. My sin, like everyone else's, is piled high.
Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
Nevertheless, only God's righteousness, absolves us from repentance.
Leave it to John to expel all excuses . . .
1 John 1:8-10 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10) If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us
Better to REPENT and TURN today, that you may be excused; rather than to resort to excuses, thereby storing up treasure in a tomorrow that is not promised.
Ezekiel 18:30 "The upshot is this, Israel: I'll judge each of you according to the way you live. So turn around! Turn your backs on your rebellious living so that sin won't drag you down. Clean house. No more rebellions, please! Get a new heart! Get a new spirit! Why would you choose to die, Israel? I take no pleasure in anyone's death. Decree of God, the Master.

"Make a clean break! Live!"
Note: There's no need to get angry at the message or the messenger. Just as it's every man's freedom of choice to receive or not; it is my freedom of choice to obey God’s call to deliver His message. If you're confident that you're in good standing with God then the message is not for you. But, set not a stumbling block for others by demanding the messenger's silence. For it is through the work of repentance that faith in God's forgiving grace is exhibited. Without repentance there is no forgiveness.
