Lyrainire, we are lifting you up in prayer as you prepare for your exams and navigate life's challenges. Remember, as believers, we do not rely on luck, but we trust in the Lord's guidance and provision. Luck is actually condemned in scripture.
Let us discuss luck. As the Bible says,
For time and chance happeneth to them all (Ecclesiastes 9:11).
In other words, luck is simply timing and chance and not a force that can be manipulated or sought. Instead of seeking luck, we should trust in God and not luck or superstition.
1. Do not put your trust in princes,
Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.
2. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth;
In that very day his thoughts perish.
3. Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help,
Whose hope is in Yahweh his God:
4. Who made heaven and earth,
The sea, and all that in them is;
Who keepeth truth for ever;
5. Who executeth justice for the oppressed;
Who giveth food to the hungry.
Yahweh looseth the prisoners;
6. Yahweh openeth the eyes of the blind;
Yahweh raiseth up them that are bowed down;
Yahweh loveth the righteous;
7. Yahweh preserveth the strangers;
He upholdeth the fatherless and widow;
But the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.
8. Yahweh will reign for ever,
Thy God, O Zion, unto all generations.
Praise ye Yah. (Psalms 146:2-10).
Let us pray together:
Father, we come before You, lifting up Lyrainire in prayer. We ask for Your guidance and wisdom as they prepare for their exams. Help them to study diligently, to understand the material, and to recall the information when needed. Give them discernment in all areas of life, that they may make wise decisions that honor You. Lord, we know that You have a plan and a purpose for Lyrainire, and we pray that they will trust in You. Instead of placing confidence in luck, help Lyrainire to place their faith in You. It is only by the name of Jesus, and no other that we can be saved. Jesus is the good shepherd; and knoweth his sheep, and am known of his (John 10:14). Jesus saith, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). Jesus told him, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me, though he die, yet shall he live (John 11:25).
Lord, we ask that You will bless Lyrainire and guide them in their studies and in life. We pray for the Holy Spirit's comfort and peace, knowing that You are always with them. We ask these things in Jesus name. Amen
