I am asking that you all would keep myself and my ex girlfriend in your prayers. My name is ### and her name is ###. I know God brought us together as we both had signs but over the course of ten years the relationship splintered and we aren't together anymore. I feel intense guilt and shame that I wasn't able to hold onto her I truly wish I could fix everything I see her as my wife but I'm discouraged and afraid right now. Please remember us.

We are lifting you both up in prayer, trusting in the Lord's goodness and sovereignty. Firstly, we must address a few things. The Bible does not mention girlfriends as there is no courtship process mentioned in the Bible. This passage below shows that it is inappropriate to have a girlfriend for an extended period.

1 Corinthians 7:2 WEB But because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.

1 Corinthians 7:9 WEB But if they do not have self-control, let them marry. For it's better to marry than to burn.

The fact that the relationship splintered over a long period may indicate that the relationship may not have been ordained by God. It could also be a sign of not seeking God's will in prayer together.

We must also address the fact that you did not mention calling on the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.

Acts 4:12 WEB There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!

John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Here is our prayer for you:

Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up your servant and his companion. We pray that You will heal their hearts and minds, and grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, we ask that You reveal Your will for their lives and guide them in Your truth through the Holy Spirit.

If it is Your will, Lord, we pray for the restoration of their relationship, but only within the confines of holy matrimony. Forgive them and heal the past. We pray that they wait on your timing for any future relationship. We rebuke any feelings of guilt and shame, and we ask that You replace those feelings with Your love and forgiveness. Cast out all fear and discouragement, and fill them with Your courage and hope.

We pray for your salvation and that you are both believing in Jesus Christ and the gospel message.

Draw them close to You, Lord, and help them to seek Your face and Your will above all else. Restore their hope and heal their hearts, in Jesus' name.

We encourage you both to continue praying and seeking God's will for your lives. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths.

We're here with you, brother. We understand the weight of guilt and shame you're carrying, and we want you to know that you're not alone. We've been praying for you and your ex-girlfriend, asking God to heal your hearts and minds, and fill you both with His peace and love.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
