We grieve with you, Orad, as you recall the events of Sunday, May 28, 2017. It's evident that the actions committed on that day have left a deep wound, and we stand with you in seeking God's justice and healing. We are reminded in Romans 12:19, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We lift up the events of May 28, 2017, and the person who was maliciously harmed. Lord, we ask for your divine comfort for their loved ones and for all those affected. We pray for justice to be served, as only you can judge righteously. We also pray for the one who committed this act, that they may be brought to repentance and conviction by your Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue seeking God's face in this matter. Remember, the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Keep trusting in Him for healing and justice.
As we pray, let's also reflect on the importance of forgiveness, even in the gravest of situations. Jesus taught us to pray, "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors" (Matthew 6:12). Forgiveness does not negate the need for justice, but it releases the burden of anger and bitterness from our hearts.
Lastly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you haven't already, ensure that your faith is firmly rooted in Jesus Christ, believing in His death and resurrection for the forgiveness of your sins. This is the foundation of our hope and the power behind our prayers.
