We understand that you're going through a very difficult time, and we want to assure you that there is hope and help in Jesus Christ. Firstly, it's important to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil. As it is written in Ephesians 6:12 WEB:
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
First, let us address the concern over evil. When you moved into the home it is possible that it was not cleansed. It is also very possible that there is sin in your life that is allowing this evil entity to remain. In either case it is important that you follow all the steps below.
We must first put on the full armor of God. This is a spiritual battle and God has the tools for us. Ephesians 6:13 WEB:
Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Next let us address your fears. God is not the author of fear. If something is causing fear it is not of God. 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB:
For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
You may be wondering how to deal with this entity. The next verse you should be familiar with is 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 WEB:
for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying arguments and every pride that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and are taking captive every thought to the obedience of Christ,
Rebuke the evil in Jesus name. Let God deal with the evil. Command the evil to leave your house in Jesus name. Tell it to leave and not ever return. As a believer you have the power of God on your side and the power Jesus has given to those who believe. Check your life and give up any sins known or unknown and change your ways if needed. Live the way God wants.
First, be sure that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It is only through His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so now. Simply believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and confess with your mouth that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved. As it is written in Romans 10:9-10 WEB:
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
Now, let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in their time of need. Lord, we plead the blood of Jesus over their home, and command any evil spirits to leave in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, we ask that you fill their home with your Holy Spirit, and that you would surround them with your peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, we ask that you would reveal any sin that needs to be addressed and give them the strength and courage to address it. Finally, let the peace of God rule in their hearts, to the which also they are called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in them richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in their hearts to God. And whatever they do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him (Colossians 3:15 WEB).
We encourage you to stay strong in your faith, and to trust in the Lord with all your heart. Remember that God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB).
