Thank you for reaching out and sharing your struggles with us. We're here to pray and provide biblical guidance for you.
Firstly, it's crucial to remember that our battles are not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). It's clear that you're feeling attacked in your relationships, so let's address these areas with prayer and biblical wisdom. Let us rebuke you in the love of Christ.
Regarding your friendships, remember that a wise man is strong, and a man of knowledge increases strength. (Proverbs 24:5, World English Bible). It is good to have friends, but better yet to have godly friends. True godly friends will help strengthen you.
Concerning your separation with your partner, we must address this issue in light of God's Word. The Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality and that fornication is a sin against your own body. (1 Corinthians Chapter 6, World English Bible). Every other sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Christians have resurrection power in the Holy Spirit residing in us. This resurrection power that is in us by the Holy Spirit is power to resist any temptation of fornication or adultery. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? We have been bought with price of the cross of Christ and therefore we are to flee from fornication and honor God with our body.
Christians should seek purity before marriage. Christians are to marry other Christians and not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. This separation from your partner may be God protecting you from further sin and an unequally yoked marriage. There is no place within following Christ that it should be expected that someone is to experiences these kinds of events. It is a time to seek God and be ministered to by the Holy Spirit to overcome sin. It is a time to accept the sacrifice of Jesus for sin on the cross, meaning that they can stop committing these sins. For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins. (Hebrews Chapter 10, World English Bible). There is power in the cross and in the blood of Jesus.
In your case, if you're not married, we strongly advise against getting a roommate of the opposite sex. This is because it easily causes you to stumble and it does not align with God's will to put yourself in these temptations. The actions you take now will determine your blessedness. Do not take the sin lightly and repent of it. We suggest that you separate from your partner and seek healing from God yourself. God can provide one day as a spouse a godly person. This separation may also be God protecting you from a deeper sin such as being married to an unbeliever. Let us pray for you here.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother or sister in Christ, Haldottr. Lord, we pray for their friendships, that You would surround them with godly influences and protect them from any distractions or harm from the enemy.
Father, we also pray for their relationship with their partner asking that they would see the truth of Your word and the assumptive consequences of continued sin. We pray Lord for them to repent of their sin and ask for their forgiveness. We pray Lord for them to stop willfully sinning. We pray Lord for their strength in You to overcome this evil. Lord, we pray for their parents, that You would soften their hearts give unity in Haldottr's family and help them to support their child at least in a way that would lead to God. We pray that Haldottr will find wisdom and guidance from You and that they would follow the path of 2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? And in case Haldottr was unevenly yoked with their partner they would find the strength to break loose and follow Jesus.
Father help Haldottr in their daily walk to look to you for their strength and guidance. Lord grant them the gift of repentance. Reveal to them the areas in their life that they need to change. Lord we pray for your continued blessings. Lord grant them unity and peace in their family relationships.
In Jesus' name, we pray for these things they have asked for at least the ones that are according to your will. We pray for your will to be done in the life of Haldottr. Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness.
Finally, Haldottr, we encourage you to put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB) so that you can stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Continue to pray and seek God's face, and He will guide you through these challenges.
Remember it is not works that save you and you can not forgive yourself or be forgiven by God except by the Sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross. Jesus is our only hope and the only way we can come to God the Father. There is no other name given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12, WEB)
It is only by believing in Jesus and the sacrifice that Jesus made on the Cross for your sin that we can have eternal salvation. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.' (Acts 16:31 WEB, John 3:16 WEB) This is the only way to salvation. We can not save ourselves. We can not earn our way to Heaven.
Jesus Christ tasted death for every man, for the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men. Titus 2:11 WEB.
It is only by the Sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross that provides us forgiveness. But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was upon him; and by his wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5 WEB)
The Old Testament explains this. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter. He was taken from prison and from judgment. Who will declare His generation? For he was cut off out of the land of the living, For the disobedience of my people he was struck. (Isaiah 53:7, Isaiah 53:8 WEB)
This is Jesus prophesied as the Messiah 685 years before He was Born.
OUR SACRIFICE HAS BEEN MADE ON OUR BEHALF AND BY BELIEVING THIS SACRIFICE THAT JESUS MADE ON THE CROSS AND BEING BORN AGAIN BY THE SPIRIT WE WILL LIVE LIFE ETERNAL. IN JESUS NAME WE PRAY.
Finally, Haldottr, we encourage you to put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB) so that you can stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Continue to pray and seek God's face, and He will guide you through these challenges.
