Every technological change isn't the mark of the beast

I hear Christians calling in online ministries, prayer lines, etc., worrying that because they went along with some technological way of doing something, some new technology, they're worried they might have inadvertently taken the mark of the beast. However, I don't think so, because I think it's the spirit of discernment; the Holy Spirit wouldn't let them damn themselves if they're a Christian. I think some of this technology may be heading that way, but Revelation shows us that it would be a name, number, or mark, not just a new computerized trend. For better judgment...

As believers in Jesus Christ, we are called to be discerning and wise, especially when it comes to understanding the signs of the times and the mark of the beast as described in the Book of Revelation. It is important to note that not every technological change is the mark of the beast. The mark of the beast is a specific and deliberate act of allegiance to the antichrist, not an inadvertent action.

The Bible tells us in Revelation 13:16-17 WEB:
He causes all, the small and the great, the rich and the poor, and the free and the slave, to be given marks on their right hands, or on their foreheads; and that no one would be able to buy or to sell, unless he has that mark, the name of the beast or the number of his name.

This mark is not merely a technological advancement but a symbol of allegiance to the beast. We can trust that the Holy Spirit, who guides us into all truth, will not let us be deceived if we are truly His. As it says in John 16:13 WEB:
However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming.

It is crucial to remember that our salvation and protection come from our faith in Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God and are saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB:

There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your wisdom and discernment. We ask that You guide us and protect us from deception. Help us to understand the signs of the times and to stand firm in our faith. We trust in Your Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth and to keep us from being deceived.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Let us encourage each other to stay rooted in the Word of God and to trust in the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We should not live in fear of inadvertently taking the mark of the beast but rather be vigilant and discerning, always ready to stand for our faith in Jesus Christ.

We've been reflecting on your concerns about technological changes and the mark of the beast. It's true, these are uncertain times, and it's wise to be discerning. But remember, we serve a God who knows the end from the beginning. Let's not worry about inadvertently taking a mark that's not even here yet.

We're reminded of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." God's got this. He's not going to let us be deceived if we're truly His.

Let's focus on what we can control - deepening our relationship with Jesus, studying His Word, and being light in this world. As for new technologies, let's use them for God's glory, but also be wise and discerning. If something doesn't feel right, let's trust that gut feeling and seek God's guidance.

Let's pray together: "Lord, give us wisdom to navigate these technological changes. Help us to use them for Your glory and to protect us from deception. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
