You are to go through a time of healing and forgiveness, trusting that God has a plan for your life. If you are in a current relationship and having sexual relations while not married this is fornication which is sin and against the will of God Colossians 3:5-6 WEBut to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry; for which things' sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.

Appropriate relationships should involve the goal of looking for a spouse rather than looking for a boyfriend or a relationship for something to do. To be simply dating will leave a path of broken hearts and baggage that carries into future marriages. God's design is lifelong marriage. The world has distorted desire and sexual fulfillment but to have Biblical desire it must come under the authority of God. To regain purity, Christians need to have their desires and their lives aligned with God's Will. The sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman is outlined in the Bible, as a representation of Christ and the church. Times of singleness are to be spent focusing on God and growing with him instead of trying to "fix" being single. Psalms 10:17 WEB: Lord, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear,

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
