We are truly saddened to hear about the pain you are experiencing due to an extramarital affair. Firstly, we want to remind you that God hates divorce and also adultery (Malachi 2:16, Exodus 20:14 WEB). It's crucial to address this situation with a heart full of love, compassion, and a desire for repentance and restoration.
Jesus taught us that marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." (Matthew 19:6 WEB). And to avoid sexual immorality. (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB).
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage that is under attack. Lord, you know the pain and suffering that adultery brings. We pray for conviction and a turning away from this sin.
Guide them to be able to resist the temptations of the enemy and to be able to say no to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age. (Titus 2:12 WEB)
Help them both to love and respect each other, and to work towards healing and restoration in their marriage, just as you intended it to be.
We rebuke the spirit of adultery and pray for it to be broken off.
