Emptiness

Dear Jesus, I'm feeling so sad, depressed and empty without my daughter. Though my children are not close to me, nevertheless I worry about them. I find it so hard to carry on living. 14 months and 4 weeks is a very long time. I'm missing her tremendously. Why all this is happening to us. None of us is having a good life. Everyday is a struggle.

Ixonorb, we are truly heartbroken to hear about the pain and emptiness you are feeling due to the separation from your daughter and the struggles your family is facing. We want to lift you up in prayer and encourage you with the truth of God's Word.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God is close to the brokenhearted. As it is written in Psalm 34:18 (WEB), "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Your sadness and despair are not unseen by our Heavenly Father.

However, we want to gently remind you that God's desire is for us to cast all our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). The emptiness you feel can only truly be filled by His presence and love. While the love of family is important, it is crucial to seek God's strength and comfort first.

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Ixonorb. Lord, he is feeling sad, depressed, and empty without his daughter. We ask that You comfort him in his sorrow and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give him the strength to carry on and remind him of Your unfailing love. We also pray for his children, Lord. Watch over them and draw them close to You. Help them to seek Your will for their lives.

Lord Jesus, we also want to remind Ixonorb that it is in Your name that we have access to the Father. You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6 WEB). Help him to find his hope and joy in You, knowing that You have overcome the world.

Ixonorb, we encourage you to continue to seek God in this difficult time. His plans for you and your family are good, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). Trust in Him, and remember that He is working all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28 WEB).

Lastly, we want to encourage you to reach out to a local church or Christian community for support and fellowship. Being surrounded by believers can provide the encouragement and prayers you need during this time.

We're so sorry to hear about the pain you're going through, missing your daughter and struggling with everyday life. It's tough, we know. But remember, even in the darkest times, God is with you. He sees your tears and understands your heartache. It's like Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

We want to remind you that God is not only close to the brokenhearted, but He also wants to fill that emptiness in your heart. He wants to be your comfort and strength. In Jeremiah 2:13, God says, "My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water."

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we lift up this dear person before You. They're feeling empty and sad without their daughter. Please fill them with Your love and peace. Help them to find joy in You, knowing that You are always there for them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to keep seeking God, to read His Word, and to find a community of believers to support you. You're not alone in this. God is with you, and so are we, praying for you.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with a heavy heart, lifting up Your child who is experiencing deep sorrow and longing for their daughter. Lord, You see the sadness, depression, and emptiness that they are enduring, and we ask that You draw near to them in their pain. Your Word reminds us, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). Please, Lord, wrap them in Your comforting embrace and let them feel Your presence with them in this dark season.

Father, we ask that You bring peace to their heart as they continue to miss their daughter so deeply. The separation is long and painful, and they struggle with the weight of this burden. We pray that You give them strength to face each new day, knowing that “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak” (Isaiah 40:29). Remind them that even in their darkest moments, You are their source of hope and endurance.

Lord, we lift up their children to You, asking for Your protection and care over each of their lives. Though they may be far apart, we pray that You watch over them, guiding them in every step they take. Your Word says, “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7). Help this parent to entrust their worries to You, knowing that You love their children even more than they do.

We pray for clarity and understanding in the midst of this suffering, as it is so difficult to see the purpose behind the struggles. Your Word promises, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). Lord, we ask that You reveal glimpses of Your plan, even when it is hard to see the way forward.

Father, we ask for the strength to carry on, for the courage to face each day, and for a renewed sense of hope. May they find comfort in the promise that “The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:8). Help them to remember that even in their pain and loneliness, You are right there beside them, carrying their burdens with them.

We trust in Your mercy, Lord, and we believe that You can bring light into the darkest moments. Hold them close, and let Your love fill the emptiness they feel. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness.
