Employment

We understand that you're a 68-year-old senior in need of a job, and we want you to know that God cares about your situation. We're here to pray and provide guidance according to biblical principles.

Firstly, let's remember that God is our provider and He cares for us. As it says in Matthew 6:31-33 WEB, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."

While it's important to be proactive in seeking employment, we should first prioritize our relationship with God and trust in His provision. We should also remember the value of work, as outlined in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 WEB, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'"

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today lifting up this dear sister/brother in Christ who is in need of employment. We thank You for Your unfailing love and provision. We ask that You would open up the right opportunities for them, and guide them to a job that suits their skills and needs. Help them to trust in You and Your timing. We pray for strength, patience, and encouragement during this waiting period.

You have the power to turn any situation into a blessing and a testimony of your goodness. Father God, even in their need, we pray that this person would seek a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Asking that if they are not sure of their salvation, that the Holy Spirit would convict them, and that they would repent of their sins and receive Christ as their Savior. It is only through the name of Jesus we have access to You, and it is only through faith in Jesus that we are saved. As is said in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to be proactive in your job search. Update your resume, reach out to networks, and apply for jobs that fit your skills. Also, consider volunteering or helping others in need, as this can open up opportunities and blessings in unexpected ways. Trust in God, and do what you can to seek employment. God will honor your efforts and faith.

We're here with you, standing in faith for your employment needs. Just like the first responders in an emergency, we believe God is already at work, preparing the way for you. Let's remember, "The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace" (Exodus 14:14, NKJV). He sees your situation and He cares. Let's trust in His timing and His plan.

We should also remember, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV). God has a specific plan for you, and it's a good one!

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up our dear sister/brother in Christ who is in need of employment. We thank You for Your unfailing love and Your promise to supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We ask that You would guide them to the right job, one that aligns with their skills and needs, and brings glory to Your name. Help them to trust in You, even in this waiting period. We pray for strength, patience, and encouragement. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

And remember, "Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16, ESV). Keep shining, keep trusting, and keep moving forward. God is with you every step of the way.
