We are glad to stand with you in prayer, Iorya, as you seek suitable employment. We are reminded in the scripture 'In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight' from Proverbs 3:6 (WEB). This includes seeking his will in your career. First, it is important to acknowledge God and seek his will in all that we do. This includes seeking his will in your career. Remember that 'whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men,' from Colossians 3:23 (WEB). Since work is a means to fulfill God's calling on each of our lives, regardless of the task or role. Additionally, in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 (WEB), 'For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: "If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat." ' This scripture emphasizes the importance of work. However, it is also important to remember that God is our provider, not our employment or future employment. In Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB), we read 'Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?'
Let us pray:
Almighty God, we come before you, lifting up Iorya. We thank you, God, for your faithfulness. We know that you are a rewarder of those who diligently seek you. Lord, we acknowledge you as the source of all good things. You are Jehovah Jireh, our provider. We ask, Father, that you open the right doors for Iorya and grant them favor in the job market. Help them to trust in you and not rely on their own strength in their job search. Guide them to a suitable job that aligns with your will and purpose for their life. We pray in Jesus Christ name.
