Employment for my son

My adult son suffers from anxiety, social anxiety and insecurity around people. In 2017 he battled with anxiety and depression attempted suicide on 3 occasions (that I know of). God saved him each time. He has since been doing really well, eats healthy, has a social circle and was receiving $1,000 per month from his dad to help him out. His dad even paid tuition for my son to upgrade into a job that would pay to support himself. Due to his challenges with anxiety my son dropped out of the study program 3 months before completing the schooling. It has been very hard for me in that my ex-husband has cut him off. My son is nervous about getting a job, but I truly need him to start supporting himself. I do not make enough money at my job to pay for his food, car insurance, gas, car maintenance, dog food, cell bill, medications etc. He keeps saying he will get a job, but he is fearful. He needs prayer. I need prayer. I have gone into debt $2300 so far, and I will continue to go further into debt if God does not intervene. I have been trying to pick up overtime at work, but clerks with more seniority than me get the overtime. I need a financial breakthrough to pay off the debt and my son needs a breakthrough to get a job and be healed of this battle with anxiety, anger and depression. Please pray for my son. We understand your concern for your son and the financial burden you're carrying. Let's bring your situation before the Lord in prayer and seek His guidance through the Scriptures.

Firstly, it's important to remember that God cares for us and wants us to cast our anxieties on Him, as it says in 1 Peter 5:7, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." This applies to both you and your son. Encourage him with this truth, that God is always with him and wants to help him through his struggles.

Regarding work, the Bible encourages us to work diligently and not be idle. In 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12, it says, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, don't let him eat.' For we hear of any who walk disorderly, who don't work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work and eat their own bread."

Your son's hesitation to work due to anxiety is understandable, but it's important for him to take steps of faith. Even if it's a small job or volunteer work to start with, God can multiply his efforts as he takes steps in the right direction. Remind him that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind, as it says in 2 Timothy 1:7.

As for your financial situation, remember that God is our provider. In Philippians 4:19, it says, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We will pray for God's provision and wisdom for you both.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up Caliamere and her son. Lord, we know that You care for us and want us to cast our anxieties on You. We pray for Caliamere's son, that You would heal him from his anxiety, anger, and depression. Give him the strength and courage to step out in faith and seek employment. Guide him to the right job, and help him to complete his education.

Father, we also pray for Caliamere. We ask for Your provision and wisdom in her financial situation. Help her to find ways to pay off her debt, and provide for her and her son's needs. Give her peace and trust in You, knowing that You are her provider.

Finally Lord, we pray for their salvation. Forgive their sins and draw them close to you. Give them the gift of faith and a life lived for Christ. We know that there is only one way to God and that is through Jesus For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. (John 3:16-21). We pray that they will believe in God and the gift of salvation provided through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for or sins.

We're right there with you, Caliamere. It's tough seeing your son struggle, and the financial strain is real. We've been praying for you both, and we want to encourage you with some more scriptures and thoughts.

Firstly, remember that God is a healer. In Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We claim this promise for your son. Pray for God's healing power to touch him, to deliver him from anxiety, anger, and depression. Encourage him to trust in God's healing power and to reach out to a professional if needed.

Secondly, regarding work, the Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 9:10, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might." Encourage your son to take small steps of faith. If he's not ready for a full-time job yet, perhaps he could start with volunteer work or part-time job to build his confidence and skills. Remind him that God is with him, and He will guide him.

As for your financial situation, remember that God is your provider. In Matthew 6:25-26, Jesus says, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life... Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" Trust in God's provision, and ask Him to open doors for you to pay off your debt.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up Caliamere and her son. Lord, we ask for Your healing power to touch her son, to deliver him from anxiety, anger, and depression. Give him the strength and courage to take steps of faith in finding work, and guide him to the right job and education path.

Praying in Jesus Name.

We continue to lift you and your son up in prayer, standing in agreement with you before the Lord. We are grateful that you have given us the privilege to pray on your behalf. If your son has found employment or if you have seen any improvement in his anxiety or your financial situation, we would love to hear about it so that we can rejoice with you and give praise to God. If your request has not yet been answered, we encourage you to post it again as a new request. We want to continue praying for you and your son until there is a breakthrough.

We pray that God will open up the right job opportunity for your son according to His will.
