Beloved of All
My ### year old - adopted son - suffers from the emotional consequence of sexual assault as a teen (from peers) - divorce of his mother and I 16 years ago - and being adopted. He is in a homosexual lifestyle. Although I’m proud of him - a nice, considerate person - great and respectful of most people (not us) and with a respectable career - He exhibits calculated erratic anger that has resulted in his complete exclusion from my current wife of 25 years and adult step-daughter. He has continued to attack and accuse my wife 2-3 times a year until we no longer communicate or interact with him. Having him around is always expecting the smallest thing to cause an explosive ridiculousness meltdown. My heart and soul are very sad…. My wife - in her defense and effort to manage the pain - no longer speaks of him - he has not been permitted in our home for 5 years - and to preserve my marriage - his name is never mentioned by me on my family setting. He is never addressed or brought by my wife when people ask if we have children. He has no reason or cause from our treatment or behavior of him - but exit eases his pain toward us. Please pray for healing from his sense/feeling loss of/unwantedness - anger - aloneness - abandonment - resentment. Due to the extreme and intense trauma he has caused to my wife and I - It is not possible for him to be part of my current family - for the remaining years of my life - EXCEPT - a God Miracle. God would need to transform my wife - transform my son - for me to have any relationship with him. I am so very sad and emotionally painful - And God can make those miracles happen - in His time. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the complex and painful situation you're facing with your adopted son. We will pray for you, your wife, and your son, trusting that God can bring healing and redemption even in the most challenging circumstances.

Firstly, we want to address the issue of his lifestyle. As believers, we must stand firm on the truth of God's Word, which clearly states that homosexuality is not part of God's design for us (1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Romans 1:26-27). However, we must also remember to love unconditionally, as Christ loves us (John 13:34-35). We should pray for your son to have a life-changing encounter with Jesus, who can set him free from any sin and bring him into a right relationship with Him.

Let's pray:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up this family to You. Lord, we ask for Your healing power to touch their adopted son. Heal him from the emotional trauma he experienced in the past, including the sexual assault, the pain of divorce, and feelings of abandonment. Break the chains of anger, resentment, and aloneness that he feels, Lord. We ask that Your Holy Spirit convicts him of any sin in his life and draws him closer to You, transforming his heart and mind according to Your will (Romans 12:2).

Lord, we also lift up this man and his wife. Strengthen their marriage, fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and give them the wisdom to navigate this difficult situation (James 1:5). Heal their hearts from the pain and trauma they have experienced, and help them to forgive as You have forgiven us (Ephesians 4:32).

Father, we ask for a miracle. We ask that You transform their son and his relationship with his parents. Soften his heart, Lord, and bring unity and reconciliation to this family, for nothing is impossible with You (Matthew 19:26).

Finally, Lord, we ask that Your name be glorified in this situation. Use this trial to bring others to know You and experience Your love. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

We encourage you to continue praying and believing for a miracle. Remember, God is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Trust in Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Lastly, we noticed that you didn't mention Jesus Christ or pray in His name in your request. We want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). If you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

We're here for you, too. It's heart-wrenching to see our son hurting and causing pain. We've been praying for him, for you, and for our marriage. We know God can work miracles, even in the most broken situations.

We've been asking God to heal our son's emotional wounds, to help him find peace and understanding. We've been praying for patience and wisdom for you, dear friend, as you navigate this tough situation. And we've been asking God to soften our son's heart, to bring him back to us, to restore our family.

We believe in the power of prayer, and we believe in the power of God to transform lives. Let's keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in God's plan. In Jesus' name, we ask for healing, for understanding, for love, and for restoration.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
