We are truly sorry to hear about the pain you've experienced from past relationships, particularly the one you mentioned. Firstly, let's remember that God's design for relationships is that they should be a blessing, not a source of constant pain. It's important to bring this to God in Jesus' name.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who is dealing with emotional trauma from her past relationships, especially the one that caused her so much pain. We pray that You, Father, would heal her broken heart and bind up her wounds. Please give her the strength to forgive those who have hurt her, as Your word tells us in Matthew 6:14-15. Help her let go of the past and help her to move forward in Jesus' name.
Father, we also pray for discernment. We know that in this world, there are many wolves in sheep's clothing. Help her to discern those who are truly from You and those who are not, as John 4:1 tells us to test the spirits to see if they are from God. Help her to recognize the godly characteristics You desire in a spouse, as outlined in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.
Now, dear sister, we want to encourage you. Remember that God has a plan and a purpose for you. In Jeremiah 29:11, He says, For I know the plans that I have in mind for you, says Yahweh, plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future. Also remember that we know that all things work together for good for those who are called according to his purpose.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It's in His name that we are saved. As Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
