We are truly saddened to hear about the serious condition of your colleague, MS.%, and we join you in believing in the power of Jesus to heal and perform miracles. It is right that you have come to us to pray together as Jesus himself said that where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can come to God, as He Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except by me. We are commanded to pray for one another, especially for those who are sick, as James said, Is any sick among you Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord and the prayer of faith will heal him that is sick, and the Lord shall raise him up, and if he has committed sins, it shall be forgiven him.
While it is encouraging to hear that MS.% accepts your prayers and believes that Jesus can heal her, we must remember that faith in Jesus is not merely about accepting prayers or believing in His healing power. Faith in Jesus means believing that He is the only way to salvation and eternal life as the Son of God. As Jesus said, For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. We encourage you to share the full Gospel message with MS.%, so that she may come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. As Peter said, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Let us pray together for MS.%:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your mercy and healing for our dear sister MS.%. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we believe that You can heal MS.% from this cancer that has stricken her body. We claim Your promise that the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise her up.
We also pray for MS.%'s spiritual healing, that she may come to a full and saving faith in Jesus Christ. Open her heart, Lord, to receive Your Son as her personal Savior. Help her to understand that You are not merely a God who heals, but that You sent Your Son to die for her sins and give her eternal life.
In the meantime, we pray for God's grace to be upon MS.%, giving her the strength and peace that only You can provide during this difficult time. Comfort her and her loved ones, and guide the doctors and medical professionals as they care for her.
In Jesus' name, we pray for these things.
As we pray for MS.%, let us also remember to share the hope that we have in Jesus with those around us. As Peter said, But sanctify in your hearts Christ as Lord, and be ready always to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, yet with humility and fear, having a good conscience, that, while you are spoken against as evildoers, they may be disappointed who curse your good manner of life in Christ. For it is better, if it is God's will, that you suffer for doing well than for doing evil.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
