We are truly concerned about ###'s well-being and we stand with them in this difficult time. Firstly, we acknowledge that they have cried out to the LORD Jesus, which is the most important step. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12 WEB) It's so important to remember that our help comes from the Lord. As it says, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1 WEB)
However, we want to gently remind ### and everyone that having suicidal thoughts is a serious matter that requires immediate attention. It is not God's will for anyone to harm themselves or take their own life. In the Bible, we read that God has plans for each of us. In Jeremiah 29:11, WEB God tells us "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
We urge ### to reach out to local Christian mental health professionals or trusted spiritual leaders immediately. It's crucial to be open and honest about these feelings with those who can provide support and guidance. The Bible tells us to share each other's burdens and thereby fulfill Christ's law. (Gal 6:2) In the meantime we will pray for them.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up ###, who is struggling with suicidal thoughts. Lord, we know that this is not Your will for their life. You have a purpose and a plan for each of us, and we claim Your promise that You think thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give us hope and a future.
We pray, Lord, that You would surround ### with Your love and comfort. Give them the strength to reach out to professionals who can help. Guide them towards people who can provide the support and guidance they need. Heal their mind and soul, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
###, remember that you are precious in God's sight. He loves you deeply and has a purpose for your life. Hold onto His promises and trust in Him. Reach out to those who can help, and know that we are here praying for you.
