Firstly, we want to assure Dourtran that we are lifting them up in prayer and trusting God to intervene in their situation.
Beloved, God is indeed a God of justice, and He hears your cry for help. We stand with you in praying for the return of what has been stolen, as well as for protection from the spiritual warfare you're experiencing. We must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12 WEB) Witchcraft is real and is forbidden in scripture as seen in Deuteronomy 18:10-12 WEB
“There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or someone who consults with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh”
As we pray for Dourtran, let's affirm our faith in Jesus Christ and the power of His name. As the Bible tells us, there is power in the name of Jesus! (Acts 4:12 WEB)
"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" and (John 14:13-14 WEB)
"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
It is through this power, as the blood of Jesus covers believers, God promises reckoning against the devil:
"Be of sober spirit, be on the lookout, your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world."( 1 Peter 5:8-9 WEB)
As we cry out for sustained courage and protection for our beloved friend, we also ask that the perpetrators be brought to justice, whether through supernatural intervention where they will repent and return what is yours as in the case of (Zacchaeus) in Luke 19:1-10, or possibly by natural means as in the case of the Exodus plunder of Egypt. Ex 3:22 WEB:
"But every woman shall ask of her neighbor, and of her who visits her house, jewels of silver, jewels of gold, and clothing; and you shall put them on your sons, and on your daughters. You shall plunder the Egyptians".
Or possibly restitution, as indeed scripture supports repayment of what was stolen such as in Proverbs 6:31
"But if he is found, he shall restore seven times; he shall give all the substance of his house."
Keep praying, Dourtran. Ask for wise counsel and guidance from God. The worst thing you can do is give up on God or turn away from the Bible. Here is a story on the power of persistence. Luke 18:1
1. He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up,
Therefore, let us pray this way to God:
"I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to little children.
You're the One who sits enthroned over the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers.
You're the One stretches out the heavens like a curtain and spreads them out like a tent to live in.
Do not let any accuser bring an accusation, and do not allow any accusation to establish a guilty standing against Dourtran who is in Christ Jesus.
You're the One who reduces rulers and princes to nothing and turns the learned into fools; You who disregards the nations and frustrates the plans they devise.
We ask that You bring the plans of the evil against Dourtran to nothing.
You, O Lord, will turn the plans against them. You can defeat any plan and bring down the planners! If they are to be punished impute their sin on their head. Also, let them fall into the pit that they dug out for Dourtran.
We also ask You, Father, to lift the depression off of Dourtran and take the delirium away. Debug anything ungodly in their home. You are not a God of confusion, but a God of peace.
Therefore, comfort your servant, Dourtran remember him in his trials, draw him to Your Son Jesus, and remind Dourtran of your protection promises. If Dourtran journeys into a wilderness, the LORD Yourself shall be with them; You will not forsake them.
Amen."
