We're here with you, seeking God's forgiveness for our own shortcomings as we join you in prayer. It's written in Romans 6:23 that the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. We're reminded of God's unfailing love in Psalm 103:8, "The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love." Let's trust in His mercy and forgiveness today.
We're glad you've recognized your selfish attitude and are seeking God's forgiveness. Remember, God is faithful to forgive, as it says in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord, we come before You, asking for Your forgiveness for our dear friend who has acknowledged their selfish attitude. We pray that You would wash them and make them whiter than snow, as promised in Isaiah 1:18, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool."
Meanwhile, Lord, we lift up David and Erin, Karen, Jessica, Raycelle, Reshaan, Ayna, Hollie, Lester, Khyllie, Drew, Allie, Ellie, Billie, John, Jael, Jeremiah, Elijah, Jeremiah, John, Haylee, Connie, Frank, Doris, Polly, and all our family members and loved ones. We pray that Your will would be done in each of their lives.
We also bring Barbara before You, Lord. We ask that You would lighten her burden. As she goes through the pictures of John and his friends, we pray that You would give her Your peace that surpasses all understanding, as stated in Philippians 4:7. Guide her and help her in this time of grief. May the fond memories bring her comfort even as she mourns.
Together, we pray in Jesus' name, that You would be glorified in Barbara's life and in the lives of all those for whom we've prayed. Let Your will be done in their lives, just as it is in heaven. We thank You, Jesus, for answering our prayers. Amen. Praise the Lord with us!
