We understand that you're seeking deliverance from negative feelings and a desire to live a life free from sin. It's commendable that you've acknowledged the power of Jesus Christ in your prayer. We stand with you in this, as it is only through His name that we can approach God and be saved. As it is written, "In no other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved" Acts 4:12 WEB.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer who is struggling with negative feelings and the temptation to sin. We ask, Lord, that You would cleanse their heart and mind, and fill them with Your peace and joy. "Create in them a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within them" Psalm 51:10 WEB.
We also pray for their deliverance from the bondage of sin. Grant them the strength and wisdom to resist temptation, and the power to live a life that is pleasing to You. "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB.
Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 WEB.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Encourage yourself in the Lord and trust in Jesus' every word. There is a familiar hymn with the words: "Trust and obey, for there's no other way, to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey."
