We are glad that you have come seeking forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we can approach God the Father. When we ask for forgiveness, you are acknowledging that Jesus Christ is Lord and recognizing your faith in Him as your Savior.
The Bible tells us in First John: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness," (1 John 1:9 WEB). This means that God will forgive us when we ask and He will cleanse from the evil we have done. We can be confident that when we ask for forgiveness in Jesus' name, God hears us and forgives us.
In your request you ask for forgiveness for four things. We do not know what those are but you do and so does God. God promises in the Book of Jeremiah, "You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart," (Jeremiah 29:13 WEB).
In praying for your forgiveness, we ask our Father in Heaven:
Lord Jesus, You know this precious soul and the four things for which forgiveness is sought. We ask, Jesus, that You forgive these sins in Your name and cleanse this person from all unrighteousness. We pray that this person will continue to seek You, grow closer to You, and walk in Your ways. We ask this in Your precious and holy name. Amen.
As you continue your walk with Jesus, remember what the Apostle Paul wrote in his letter to the Romans, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, 'Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.'...For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved," (Romans 10:9-11,13 WEB).
We encourage you to live your life with Christ at the center, guided by His Holy Spirit. Trust in Him and His word, and let your faith be a light to those around you. Remember to give thanks to Him every day.
