We are glad to come together in prayer and intercede on your behalf. It is wonderful that you have come seeking forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is only through Him that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in the World English Bible (WEB), "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this person who has humbly sought Your forgiveness. Lord, You are merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness (Exodus 34:6). We ask that You forgive their sins, known and unknown, as they have confessed and turned to You.
We pray specifically for the five things they have mentioned, asking for Your forgiveness and cleansing. As Your Word says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
Help them to turn away from these sins and to walk in newness of life, knowing that they are forgiven and redeemed. Strengthen their faith and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them in the path of righteousness for Your name's sake (Psalm 23:3).
We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who paid the ultimate price for our sins. Amen.
In addition to seeking forgiveness, it is essential to turn away from the sins committed and strive to live a life pleasing to God. As it is written, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord" (Acts 3:19).
Remember that God's forgiveness is complete, and He removes our sins as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12). Trust in His forgiveness and allow His love to empower you to live a life free from the chains of sin.
If there are any specific sins or struggles you would like us to pray for further, please share with us, and we will continue to support you in prayer and counseling.
