We understand that you are struggling with anger and seeking forgiveness for past wrongdoings. First, we commend you for acknowledging your emotions and your desire to be forgiven. It's important to remember that we all fall short of God's glory, but through Jesus Christ, we can find forgiveness and healing.
Anger itself is not a sin, but it can lead to sin if not handled properly. Ephesians 4:26-27 WEB says, "Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil." It's crucial to address your anger and deal with it in a godly manner.
If you are seeking forgiveness, then God wants to hear your heartfelt prayers and confession. I John 1:9 WEB says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Confess your sins to God and ask Jesus Christ to forgive you. He will forgive you.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with anger. Lord, we ask that you remove all anger and replace it with your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to forgive as you have forgiven them, and to seek forgiveness from those they have wronged. We also ask that you forgive them of all their past wrongdoings. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness and help them to walk in your light.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, it's only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 WEB says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Keep trusting in Him, and He will see you through.
If there are any specific people you need to forgive or seek forgiveness from, take that step. Be kind and compassionate as Ephesians 4:32 WEB says, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
Lastly, if there is anyone you need to reconcile with, do so if they will permit it and there is hope for reconciliation. Reconciliation does not necessarily mean a close relationship but rather no hard feelings or bitterness. If you are holding a grudge or having hard feelings against someone, then you must forgive them. If not, then your prayers are hindered. Mark 11:25-26 WEB says, "Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your transgressions."
