Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear soul who has asked for forgiveness. Lord, you are merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness Psalm 86:15. We confess that we have all sinned and fallen short of your glory Romans 3:23.
Father, we ask that you forgive this person's sins in Jesus' name. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness, and help them to walk in newness of life Romans 6:4. Strengthen them to resist temptation and to live a life pleasing to you. In Jesus Christ our Lord, we pray. Amen.
