We are glad to join you in prayer, Anonymous, as you seek forgiveness from the Lord. It is wonderful that you acknowledged the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is only through His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in the WEB the Bible, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1st Timothy 3:5).
First, let us address your concern. In the Bible, it tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). God is always ready to forgive those who come to Him with a repentant heart.
However, we want to encourage you to not only seek forgiveness but also turn away from the sins you are confessing. As the scripture further states in the WEB, "He who conceals his sins doesn't prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy" (Proverbs 28:13).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Anonymous who has humbly sought Your forgiveness. Lord, You are merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin. Please forgive Anonymous for the sins committed today and over the past three years. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness and help them to turn away from these sins, granting the strength to resist temptation. Guide them in Your paths of righteousness, and help them to live a life pleasing to You.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, Anonymous, for God's forgiveness is freely given to those who ask. Remember the promise in the WEB when it is written, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit" (Romans 8:1). Continue to walk in the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. May the grace of God will abound as you walk in new life with Christ.
