Friends and Family,
I know many of you have heard me talk about my dear friends Judy and Barry Lynch's little boy Thomas. He was born with a seizure disorder and wasn't expected to live to 2. He will be 6 in May. Thomas has many health issues and physical struggles, but is Barry and Judy's precious son and a miracle from God. He has been in the hospital for several days now with Pneumonia and I wanted to forward on her email on to those of you who I know would pray for him. I will also paste her email from today below the request for prayers.
Thank you for keeping this precious family in your prayers.
Love,
Brandy
Settling in for night three. Feels like a month! I got to go home and rest and shower for a bit today thanks to the grandmas and husband. I feel like a new person!
We are not making the progress I would like but I am yielding to God's schedule. Thomas' left lung is still crummy and his fever has come back. Oxygen levels are dropping a little and may require us to put him back on oxygen overnight. We have increased frequency of breathing treatments to every two hours instead of three. Collected more samples to see if we can solve the bacterial vs viral conundrum. So......
More waiting. The nurses and staff are so great and we want for nothing here. Your responses and prayers have been so crucial and I regret I can't respond to everyone the way I would like to. Pretty neat problem to have! I am a little embarrassed that this distribution list is growing but not embarrassed enough to shorten it!
Please continue prayers for:
Pnuemonia to clear, oxygen and temperature to stabilize.
Comfort for Thomas so he can rest. His throat and nose have become very sore from the suction tubing and coughing. I imagine he is sore from laying in bed so much.
Protection from other hospital germies.
For Thomas to feel safe and loved.
For Barry and I to have endurance and hope and continued patience with each other and the care team.
Endurance for our family as we boss them around.
Praise for our financial and healthcare resources as well as flexible schedules. Praise for the beautiful creation we call COFFEE.
Opportunities for God to be glorified through this little guy.
Judy
Rough night with all the suction and such. Poor guy's nose and throat are so raw that he can't even cry any more.
he just makes a sad hoarse sound. Temperature is back up today and he is playing the oxygen hokey pokey. Currently we are on "put your oxygen on."
Everyone is very attentive and doing their best to minimize disruption.
One of the hard things for mommy is just observing the results of being stuck in a hospital bed for four days. Bloody nose and scratched throat, raw bottom and diaper line, chapped lips. Poor fella. We have been talking about all the prayers he is getting and all the people who love him and I think he likes the attention.
One of our elders came to pray with him this morning and that was a sweet time. And he brought me a mocha. Nice man.
I will keep you informed. Past specifics the same. Please add that he feel more comfortable.
